The first of it's kind anywhere, Honda recreates car accidents with other cars or pedestrian dummies to accurately gauge the effectiveness of its safety technology and find new ways to better protect people. This original approach to crash testing provides far more pertinent feedback than conventional methods employing solid barriers.

In the event of a collision, the Stream's proven safety technology moderates the force of impact and helps maintain a survival zone around everyone within. Should the impact be frontal, Honda 3-point ELR seatbelts with load limiters and pretensioners adjust tension for secure restraint while dual SRS airbags provide additional head and upper torso protection to significantly increase the level of safety of the driver and front passenger.

Other leading safety features includes special hood, fender and wipee structures that helps reduce head injuries to pedestrians, and ABS(anti-lock braking system),and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) which helps maintain steering control during hard braking on slippery surfaces.
